“I do believe you’re quite correct, sir or madam; I daresay it is, in fact, time that I give my voice a rest. You see, I’ve acquired from my time in within the Glee club that only those who are most audible are heard — otherwise, you merely remain stoic in the background and then are promptly transferred and replaced by a white gentlemen whose father is surely of African American descent as the lips he’s come equipped with are quite behemothic. It was never my intention for my vocal range to distract thee, but, as you may have heard in one of the few numbers I was so kindly invited to perform in, “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might just get a yelling African American Glee Club member”.
